Made out of 100% polyester, this jacket is made with Helly Tech protection which means it is fully waterproof, windproof, and has breathable fabrics and constructions. There is an inside quick-drying lining. Please note that the lining is not meshing or fleece. This is a solid lining layer that will keep you dry and break the wind. If you are utilizing this jacket below 40 degrees, we recommend adding base layers to increase the warmth.
This jacket does come with a non-removable mesh-lined hood that can be secured with velcro as part of the collar. The hood can be adjusted to size with the cinch cords that are on both sides of the hood.
Additionally, there are two front zippered pockets with mesh lining and an additional inside chest pocket with velcro closure. The inside pocket is large enough to fit a phone or wallet which is an extra bonus when you are out on the water.
Speaking of water, what about saltwater? Well, make no mistake that this jacket holds up to even saltwater. It's also easy to clean as it is machine washable.
